If it comes to enough violence that calls for a draft, I'll definitely be a target, since I have a younger brother and I'm obviously the oldest one. If that's the case, then so be it, I'll gladly defend my country.
World War 3 probably won't be very far into the future if things don't improve.

me too, and to beat it all ... the marines, i've ALWAYS wanted to be a marine since i was a little kid...
what branch are you thinking?
same as you my man, the marines....my brother and grandpa were in the navy, uncle was in the army, id rather go to the army or the marines, more than likely marines though

just some food for thought men: it is easier to move up in the ranks in the Army than it is to move up in the Marines, which equals more pay. But nonetheless, it would be a great honor to be a Marine. Good-luck to you two in whatever you decide, this is a life changing decision, but imo one that has more positives than negatives! Just my two cents, but before you sign any papers, do some research. E-1 to E-4 in the Army is based on time. Do the time, get promoted. E-5 and E-6 is dependent on points. The Army has a point system that allows for school, civilian education, CO reference, PT scores, awards, etc. Depending on what the Army needs is where the point total is. The higher the rank, the more difficult it is to attain. As for the other stuff, being a soldier or Marine is dangerous business. I applaud any young man who steps up to the plate, but just know what you are going to do. Recruiters are used care salesmen. They have a quota to meet. Whatever it is you decide to do, do a great job, because if you screw up, you'll never forget it. ALL THE WAY!
